Calla PR launches Cashflow, a premium business news platform for Africa

Calla Public Relations, a leading strategic communications agency, has launched Cashflow, a dynamic business news platform designed to deliver high-quality, data-driven reporting and analysis tailored to Africa’s economic landscape.

The platform aims to provide timely, actionable and accurate insights that empower business leaders, investors, policymakers and entrepreneurs to make informed decisions, while also aligning Africa’s developments with broader global economic trends.

“We exist to accompany businesses in Africa to their success and want to highlight Africa’s attractiveness to the world. The platform focuses on delivering actionable insights for business leaders, investors, policymakers, innovators and entrepreneurs, covering sectors such as finance, FinTech, energy, agriculture, technology, and more,” said Kevin Otiende, Calla PR’s Managing Director.

“Built on the foundation of Calla PR’s decade-long experience in strategic communications in Africa, Cashflow seeks to become the premier source of business and market news in the continent. The platform combines strong editorial credibility with digital innovation to serve a wide and diverse audience, including C-level executives in multinational corporations as well as SMEs, startups, and members of the African diaspora seeking relevant, timely on-the-ground content.”

The platform will invest in proprietary analytics and market research to produce unique insights into key areas such as commodity trends, fintech adoption, infrastructure development, and sector-specific performance. Interactive tools such as market trackers and economic dashboards will help users engage with real-time data, positioning Cashflow as a must-visit platform for business intelligence.

Cashflow plans to collaborate with African financial institutions, think tanks and development partners to co-produce reports, host high-level forums and support regional economic integration. Cashflow also aims to foster conversations through curated business events and roundtable forums. These gatherings will bring together industry leaders to exchange ideas, share insights, and strengthen Africa’s business ecosystem.

Calla PR’s proven capacity in event planning and stakeholder engagement will ensure these events are professionally executed and widely impactful.

To build thought leadership, Cashflow will feature exclusive interviews with influential leaders, CEOs, policymakers, and global investors. It will also publish white papers and sectoral reports on emerging themes such as Africa’s fintech boom, digital transformation, and renewable energy transitions.

The platform is designed with a mobile-first approach to serve Africa’s growing mobile user base. It will leverage AI tools to personalize content based on user preferences, making the experience more relevant and engaging. Content will be delivered across various formats—including podcasts, infographics, videos, and webinars—to attract and retain younger, tech-savvy audiences across the continent.

The launch of Cashflow comes at a time when Africa’s news consumption habits are shifting rapidly toward digital platforms.

According to the Media Council of Kenya’s State of the Media Report 2024, new media continues to outpace traditional channels, particularly among younger audiences. This trend underscores the timeliness of Cashflow’s entry into the market as a platform that meets modern consumption patterns while addressing the continent’s hunger for credible, insightful, and African-led business journalism.
